FAQs

Blue Rock Therapy and Wellness, LLC opened in January 2019 by Tim Carroll PTA, Michael Allie COTA and Christie Heath, PT. We proudly serve Marlow and the surrounding area in Stephens and Grady county. We specialize in treatment of post-op rehab, sport injuries, cervical and lumbar pain/injuries, work-related injuries, balance deficits and pain management.

A physical therapist is a highly educated and licensed health professional who is thoroughly trained to help patients/clients reduce pain, improve and restore mobility, and increase performance so they can achieve long-term relief and functionality while reaching their fullest potential as individuals and athletes.

If you’re having trouble moving, be it due to pain, muscle/joint weaknesses, a reduced range of motion, etc., or you simply want to move and perform better (e.g., athletic enhancement), a physical therapist can help. Is back pain keeping you in bed? Is that bum shoulder holding you back from picking up the kids? Have you hit a plateau in your sport of choice? Physical therapy can help, often eliminating the need for expensive surgery and keeping you away from harmful painkillers.

No. You can be evaluated and treated by a physical therapist without a referral from your physician. If you wish to use insurance, however, first check with your provider to see if they will cover your appointment without first getting a physician’s referral.

You’ll receive an initial evaluation by a physical therapist, with treatment to follow. Your physical therapist will educate you about your condition, charting a path toward your goals that may include additional treatments, a home exercise program, and follow-up assessments.

We offer individualized treatments based on the particular needs, strengths, weaknesses and goals of each patient/client. Treatment, which may include manual therapy, exercise regimens, education, and various other approved modalities, is determined following initial evaluations and ongoing assessments.

Of course. If you’ve been referred to us by a physician following injury, surgery or a specific diagnosis, we will keep your physician up to date on your treatments, progress, and any additional findings or concerns we might have.
